Music For Young Learners

In collaboration with Pedro Espi-Sanchis, the CDP has developed a comprehensive guide to implementing the music component of the RNCS in the Foundation Phase. Many educators, who have a good practical knowledge of many of the basic elements of music through their own experiences of singing in choirs, etc, are put off by the seemingly complex nature of the curriculum statement. Pedro has presented a series of do-able, fun and culturally diverse activities that unpack the curriculum and enable learners to develop all the necessary skills, knowledge, values and attitudes required to achieve the curriculum outcomes and develop a life-long love of music. The book is accompanied by a CD of songs and backing tracks and is richly illustrated with images taken by the author
